Jay Payne Lecture
Our first lecture back from the two week break was by Jay Payne, a technical illustrator. Before we began he instructed us to not write down notes in our sketchbooks but to draw as he spoke instead. He said this because his lecture was about the importance of sketching out ideas in the first stage of the design process. He showed us many examples of his idea sketches and even a video he had made that presented his sketches in a unique way.
The sketches I drew with the lecture were small thumbnail images such as arrows, boxes and a shadowy mans face because these were some of his sketches that I re created.
