Creating presentations with Jay
In this process and production lesson Jay taught us how to edit photos and scans so that they looked good in presentations and also how to set up an Indesign document.
Below is a scanned image of one of Jays drawings, the before and after. He showed us two ways of editing the image. You could change the levels or use tools like auto correct to produce similarly good results. I learnt a new technique where once it was edited, to make the lines darker you duplicate the layer and that makes the lines darker because it is doubled without having to change things like saturation or light which would effect the rest of the image.
We edited another scan which had much more stuff on the page and was discoloured. He showed us how to change this as well as cropping the image and moving parts around to make it high quality for presentations.
This image below has also been edited as the background was not white enough and not good enough for presentation.
He also showed us how to set up Indesign documents ready to make a presentation.
