BRASS

On Wednesday I attended a lecture given by the digital design company Brass. They design websites, website templates, apps, games and advertising campaigns. They have worked with clients such as Loeal, Moam, Lilets, Asda, H&M, Ribena, CBBC and Lucozade to name a few.

We were shown some recent work they had done for Ribena which included a video advertisement as linked on this post. The ad was to make ribena look more appealing to adults but to still retain its childlike qualities. As well as being shown work they had produced, we were also given advice about the graphic design industry. I thought it was helpful that we were told what cities specialized in certain graphic design for example; Leeds is mainly digital and independent design, Manchester is heavily production and video and London has a lot of network agencies. This information is useful for the future and where I could look for jobs depending on my field. We were also told to work hard, speak up, work with people and to have fun! I found this lecture interesting and helpful as I learnt about digital companies and discovered that its not just graphic design but they also dabble in a lot of photography and film.
