Colours May Vary

For research I traveled to Leeds to visit an art book store called ‘Colours May Vary’. As I walked in I was greeted by many colorful books and art work. I looked through many of the books, flicking through their pages and taking mental notes on the way they were all beautifully laid out. 

 I also ended up purchasing a book called ‘Know your onions, Graphic Design’ written by Drew De Soto. I bought this book because on the front it said ‘how to think like a creative, act like a business man and design like a god’ which  is something I would love to be able to do! It claims to give you 25 years worth of graphic design experience too. Also when flicking through it I saw a lot of information on layout and type such as grids and kerning which I really want to learn more about to get better at layout.
