extra work -the stencil2 -developed

I decided to develop the stencils I had made in Nicks workshop outside go uni hours. I wanted to see what they would look like edited and different colours, I just wanted to have a play about with them really! Above is my favourite poster I made developed. At the minute I have really been loving pink and red together so I decided to edit the stencil on photoshop to these colours. I really love how the colours work together and I think it makes a really cool looking poster.

I think that the design looks good on a tote bag, and would also look nice as a poster or used as a pattern in a future design project!

I then decided to play around with the image further. I duplicated the type layer and made it black and placed it behind the red type and a different position. This adds what could be a shadow to or black outline to the type. I think this looks quite cool and it even looks a bit like Japanese/Chinese writing in an oriental style.

Also for my first brief 'genealogies' in which I have designed a magazine and used my own photos from a photoshoot, I have used the shapes in some of the edited photographs! For this first image of Amy I used the shapes in the background, keeping the pink and red colour scheme. I also edited Amy to give her blurred red and blue outlines.

The second and third images with the shapes are two variations of the same image. One just has shapes around her body whereas the second has more shapes and even some new shapes I added. I like both variations. The red matches her trousers perfectly and the shapes make the image much more funky and exciting!
