Gif - Animated Glitch experiment

As an experimentation for an idea I had for imminent self, I decided to follow a tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhX8VqfMfPg on how to make a glitchy animated gif on Photoshop. For my first attempt I wanted to use an image with a white background that was simple so I recycled one of the photographs of myself from my first brief, just as a tester, I won't use the same image in both projects. 

I followed the tutorial carefully, learning about how to create each element of the glitch and then how to make it into a gif/animation using the timeline, a tool I had never used before. I also learnt how to save the work as a gif that can be used online. 

I really enjoyed doing this and think I could possibly use this in my project and would like to try making more. The only negative was that in the tutorial he added coloured shapes to one of the steps, however this step would not work on my laptop, and some one else in the video comments had the same problem so that is a shame. I am still happy with the outcome though!
